Busy week in the Peak District

This week there are lots of things to do in Derbyshire! There is a Vintage car show and autojumble in Ashover, a carnival and well dressing ceremony in Bonsall and a farmers market in Matlock. Go to www.visitbritain,com for more info but these activities are all local to our holiday cottage!

Chatsworth House, approximately 20 minutes drive from the Tractor Shed in Derbyshire is hosting the annual rally show on 6th and 7th June 2009. There will be cars demonstrating the rally stage as well as lots of activities and exhibits - looks like a fun day trip for any motor enthusiasts!

After various visitors gave us some really useful feedback - one of the first items we have actioned is to put some coat hooks just inside the front door. Hopefully no more soggy coats lying around now!

As we have had the opportunity, we have found little ways to enhance The Tractor Shed. This week we have added carpet squares at the side of the bed to keep your toes warm, seat pads on the dining chairs and a drying rack for the odd bits of washing up that are not in the dishwasher. The

The Tractor Shed started life as a horse stable and was later used by the Derbyshire family as the place where the family tractor was stored hence the name. We have framed and hung a picture of the building prior to our renovations so you can compare the before to the after!
